How to Use
2 Easy Steps
Member Registration
Register your ETC card and credit card with ETCX
(both registration and annual fees are free).
Use Your Card
Insert your registered ETC card
into the in-vehicle ETC device and
stop briefly at the toll gate to complete payment!
Be Sure to Come to a Complete Stop at the Toll Gate
ETCX is a new payment service operated by ETC Solutions Inc.,
using a system different from that of highway ETC.
Membership registration and a brief stop at the toll gate
are required when using ETCX.
What is ETCX?
ETCX is a new cashless payment service using your in-vehicle ETC device, ETC card, and credit card.
As it is different from highway ETC, membership registration and a brief stop at the toll gate are required for usage.
Membership Registration
Please make sure to review the
ETCX Terms of Use.
Prepare your ETC card and credit card,
then proceed with membership registration on the ETCX registration site.

Brief Stop Required for Use
Unlike highway ETC, when paying with ETCX,
you must briefly stop at the toll gate and wait until the payment completion sign is displayed.
Disability Discount
Disability discounts are available for ETCX at the same rate as cash payments. When using ETCX, please briefly stop at the toll gate and present your proof of disability or rehabilitation certificate to the toll gate staff (MIRAIRO ID can also be used).
- Because ETCX is different from highway ETC, information registered at municipal welfare offices cannot be used for ETC cards or in-vehicle ETC devices.
